Goal Setting 101

How To Set Up Your Fitness Goals To Ensure You Hit Them Every Time! 


Firstly congratulations to you for making this big decision, it's not an easy one and it should not come lightly when looking at what you want vs what you’re willing to sacrifice. 

One of the things I've learned in the years of chasing my own goals and helping 1000s chase theirs, whether you decide to make the decision or not, the outcome will be the same whether you achieve your goal or not! 


Not trying for your fitness goals is only bad preparation. You cannot achieve something that you have no desire to do the hard work for. And let me tell you, it will not be easy! But no goals in the first place is a stepping stone into failure! 

I don't mean to scare you but you must understand that once you make your fitness goals an idea, the only way you achieve them is through the path you set to achieving them. 

You've probably heard of the term SMART Goals but I like to add an extra ER to the end.

Welcome to SMARTER Goals. 

S - Specific 

M - Measurable

A - Achievable

R - Realistic 

T - Time Bound

E - EXCITING

R - REWARDING

Why have we added the extra ER? 



The truth is, I’ve found that most people go for their goal because they think its the right thing to do. 

The ER adds an extra dimension to make you emotionally connected to your goal so that you rely on the dedication and discipline required as opposed to motivation which will inevitably dwindle. 

So when you are making you are faced with your next big fitness goal. 
Remember the SMARTER method, it’ll make you want to achieve your goal like never before!
